Author News

Hi everyone,

As writers sometimes we come to the crossroads of life from unique angles. Considering how we look at life this shouldn't be a surprise but it often is and can knock us for a loop. I know this has happened to me a number of times.

Even now, I struggle with my identity in the wake of creating an alter ego--Lena Scott.

Many people wonder why an author would do and I have to say that there are many reasons for that too. For me, it was simply a matter of time, space and place. I needed to be in more than one place at one time and my publisher didn't have the space for Michelle McGriff to be in all those areas at once--enter Lena Scott.

However, as the years go by, I see where Lena has taken on much life and grown as an author--from her first erotica short story Chocolate Dream to O.G. and now breaking out with this new and exciting series West End Girls .

Lena in a sense is bigger than Michelle McGriff in a way and it's okay, because I understand her well.

My question to the universe is however, when do you give up your space and place to an alter ego. When do I let go and let Lena Scott take the helm of my writing career and direction. Scary isn't it? Well it's just one of those little things that writers ask from time to time. I'd love some feed back. Click the Contact Me link to your left there and let me hear from you on this.

Does it bother readers to learn that their favorite author isn't even a real person...but instead the alter ego of someone they have never met?
